The INTERMOT show which was held in Cologne, Germany, Honda introduced their premium and homologation models and finally at the motorcycle show EICMA we could see the basic model Honda CBR1000RR.
As we might expect, the basic model of the Honda CBR1000RR use suspension and brakes with lower specifications than SP model. But fortunately, this model keeps all other improvements in the engine, chassis and electronics. Among them are titanium tank, internal engine modifications and new rims. 2017 Honda CBR1000RR has 190 horsepower and weight of 430 lbs.
In terms of changes, the bike has a 43mm, BPF, Showa fork forward and the front brakes use four piston “Tokico” drives.
As we have seen in models SP and SP2, the basic model of the Honda CBR1000RR will have radial brakes and five-axle IMU, which would help in controlling traction.
The use of ABS brakes depends on the driver, and Honda leaves an opportunity to the drivers from America if they want to, to not use them. While the models for the European market will be with a mandatory ABS. The motorcycle has an option to add “quickshifter”.
We still do not know what will be its real price in the market. Coming soon additional informations.
